Back Up Set Up

 

Supermenu Data files are stored in the following places: 

  • c:/supermenu/db contains all the database files
  • c:/supermenu/data contain all order details in the years such as 2017, 2018, 2019 etc
  • c:/supermenu/backup2 contains the back up files for the database
  • Other configuration files include c:/supermenu/config, c:/supermenu/globalconfig, c:/supermenu/globalcolorconfig, c:/supermenu/tablelayout, etc.

 

1. Data Back Up Set Up to External Harddisk

  • Go to Back Office, Admin & Back Up
  • Click on Data Back Up Set Up
  • Enter the  The External Driver Back Up Folder, for example E:/backup
  • Check  Enable Back Up Data from the Server check box if you want the data to be backed up into other POS computers in the same network
  • After the set up, the system will automatically back up database files into the location specified in the set up

2. External Back Up

  • Go to Back Office, Admin & Back Up
  • Click on External Back Up
  • Enter the external Drive Name such as E, G, etc.
  • Enter the name of the restaurant  
  • all the db files and other configuration files will be saved into the location
  • You can copy these files to another computer

3. Local Back Up

  • Go to Back Office, Admin & Back Up
  • Click on Local Back Up
  • Enter the Name of the restaurant
  • All the database files will be saved into the backup folder

4. Switch Restaurant

  • You can switch between restaurants if you have created back up for multiple restaurants following the step of Local Back Up
  • Go to Back Office, Admin & Back Up
  • Click on Switch Restaurant
  • Select the restaurant you want to switch to
  • Restart the software

 

5. FTP Set Up

  • Go to Back Office, Restaurant Set Up
  • Enter FTP Set Up Server, User ID, Password
  • Save
